RESORT PRO MANAGEMENT

During this eight-day program, you will progress through the courses of Advanced, Emergency First Response, Rescue and Divemaster. You will gain experience in a variety of diving conditions as you earn 5 student specialty divers certificates. In these, you'll learn the special skills required to dive certain conditions, such as night, multi-level, or wreck. All of the dives are fun dives where you can hone your diving skills while enjoying spectacular underwater scenery. Dives will be done from shore and boats.

One of the duties of a professional instructor is to sell equipment and continuing education courses. Your students will look to you for knowledgeable information on both. To prepare you for this task, the curriculum includes a retail sales course, where you will learn how to sell scuba equipment as well as divers education. Part of this course is a fun segment with hands on experience in our shop. Minor equipment repairs, visual tank inspection and general fundamental knowledge on various pieces of scuba equipment, are also taught.

Both formal and informal training sessions will be held on a variety of other topics including: professionalism, management skills, legal aspects of diving, resume preparation, and job searching.

After the Instructors Development Course you’ll receive training for Emergency First Response Instructor. Upon successful completion of the Instructors Exam you’ll return for more “RPM” experiences.

This portion of the Resort Pro Management is available to any Instructor who wishes to sharpen their skills and learn where they intend to earn a living. We will provide you with the knowledge needed to work in a resort environment that has taken us years to develop. You will have hands-on training in the practical resort skills of boat handling, marine engine maintenance, air compressor operation, and hundreds more skills that are crucial to the day-to-day management of an island dive resort. We’ll recap on the knowledge needed to successfully sell equipment and continuing education courses. Learn from the professionals, who live it every day.

You will also return for more diving where you will receive instructor training in teaching five specialties of your choosing. We’ll prepare you for the real world challenges of dive resort operations, which is what dive resorts in the Caribbean and the world are looking for. You will be one of the few instructors who can teach the entire spectrum of PADI scuba courses, and therefore increase your earning potential and prevent “Burn Out”

To Qualify You Must:

Be a certified diver for 5 months

Be 18 years of age or older
