Thank you Capt. Scotty and Cooey! Wow two unbelievable dives! We had some current at the Mahi but dropped right down on our 12 resident eagle rays! It is a sight to behold. The Viz was fantastic and so were the surface conditions.
29 Down got even better. We were serenaded by the whales the whole dive, unfortunately we never got a glimpse of them, but I hear the pm boat DID!!!!!! That’s ok, we had a white tip swim with us for a good 5 min.
Congrats to Mayo, Netto and Rebecca who completed their Boat Specialty course. 4 more to go and you will be Master Scuba Divers! Brig....just one more dive and you have your Advanced Open Water. Woohoo!!!!!
Lets dive again soon gang,
Aloha Branwen

Aloha Divers,

Divers ask me always during the winter months, " do you ever see whales underwater?" I reply "yes every now and then" Well today was one of those days! On our descent at 29 down the whale songs were overwhelming. So very loud it was almost unbearable. Quite literally you could feel the squeals and grunts of the courting males growing louder and louder. We looked up and there he was the source of all the noise, a male humpback gliding by just 40 or 50 feet over our heads.
Papio was also epic but5 paled in comparison to our whale tale.
You never know what you are going to see!

Aloha,

Jeff
