Moku Auia or Goat Island is about 100 yards off Laie near the Mormon Temple. It is a bird sanctuary. The water to the island is very shallow and drops off to seaward to 40 plus feet.

Reef fish abound. There are small holes around the area with cowries, crabs and lobster. Due to trade winds in Fall, Winter and early Spring, the North swell can degrade conditions.
