Welcome
Amada!! |
Amanda
is the newest edition to Aaron's Dive Shop. She hails from
Texas, where she attended Texas A&M University (Amanda
always follows this with a "Whoop!") and majored
in Marine Biology. While in Texas, Amanda worked at Sea
World as an animal trainer with the likes of Shamu and
the Beluga Whales. But that's not her true claim to fame.
She's the only person we know who's come in truly close
contact with a stingray. So much so, that she had to have
her new best friend peeled off her derriere. So, remember
to bring your camera next time you go diving with Amanda...you
never know what you'll see!
You'll find Amanda's smiling face in the store and out
on our boats, as she's busily working towards her divemaster
professional rating.

Congratulations
to all of our newly certified divers....including Phil and
Mary who were all smiles and great sports! They are just
starting their dive experiences but are already talking about
getting the kids involved. To those of you who are delving
more into the dive world....big Congrats! Nitrox was the
specialty dejour of late (Edgar, Jeff and Amanda).
We're also seeing more and more women advancing their
dive careers and making their presence known. Congratulations
to Krista Whang, our newest Open Water Scuba Instructor
(she passed with flying colors). And good luck to Liz and
Amanda who our starting on their divemaster courses (you
can also see them in our staff pages).
Not to ignore the men, if you are blowing bubbles with
us, you just might be diving in with Josh, one of our new
dive masters. Ask him to show you a white tip! And give
Adam a few words of encouragement as he works on his dive
master training.
Wow, looks like we've been all education lately. Not to
worry, we're having a lot of fun while we're at it. Check
out the goofy smiles on this lot! And we can't help but
grin when the humpback whales provide an incredible soundtrack
to our dives (we expect to keep hearing whales underwater,
and seeing them above, until about the end of March).
Cheers and keep blowing bubbles!
Kirsty
PS: Congrats to Kamalama on her recent marriage! We're
sad to see you go:(
